This is a powder with an ultra thin finish that helps to remove oil without affecting the natural shine of the skin.
Within the powder there are pearls of various colours. Green neutralizes the reds, yellow targets purple tones like the area under the eye and peach evens out dark spots. This aids in neutralizing your skin colour and make it appear more uniform. This leaves the skin looking smooth while muting imperfections in the skin’s texture and ultimately masking pores, fine lines, small scars and pimples.
This product in my opinion is very different from other more conventional powders and although expensive, is worth every penny. It is without a doubt, the best powder I have ever used.
Which one to choose: compact or loose pearls?
The compacted powder has the pearls distributed evenly in a manner designed to give the most uniform effect when applied. One major practical advantage of the compact pearls is that you can carry it conveniently in any bag and touch up your makeup at any time.
On the other side of the spectrum loose pearls carry the entire tradition of Guerlain. The pearls are handmade and there are only a few artisans in the world who have the ability to shape these pearls. The packaging is more for art rather than practically and can be used as decoration for your dressing or vanity table. The pearls are super delicate and you cannot carry them around because they could easily break and turn to dust.
Before I purchased this product, I read many reviews stating that they did not see any difference when using this powder and saying that it was a waste of money. That being said, the goal of this powder is to provide a natural effect leaving you with a more natural look. A look where it doesn’t appear that you are wearing any make-up and just appears that you have really healthy skin.
